On Wednesday, March 14th at 9.00 pm the Shawnee Mission East Choir Concert will be held in the Upper Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.

I Choraliers di Shawnee Mission East are a mixed chorus of about 150 student singers from the Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas (USA). The choir has performed in churches, cathedrals, schools, recitals and concert halls, not only in America, but in Europe as well, singing from Galway to Rome and from Leipzig to London.

The choir performs a varied repertoire of ancient, classical and contemporary music. It consists of no fewer than 5 choral groups, including the Chamber Singers, the most select ensemble comprising some 24 singers; the Varsity Choir, a chorus of male voices; the Chansonettes, a female choir, and the Concert Choir, a choir of "beginners".

Begun in 1958 under the direction of Mr. Jess Rose, the Choraliers have been directed by master Ken Foley since autumn 2008.
