Pope Francis to Participate in 30th Anniversary September 20

The Holy Father will participate in the World Day of Prayer for Peace: "Thirst for Peace. Religions and Cultures in Dialogue" on September 20.
For the Sacred Convent Franciscan community the visit of Pope Francis confirms the intuition of Pope St. John Paul II in 1986 and the Spirit of Assisi of  prayer against all wars. At the event, some of the war victims will participate.The program of the visit of the Holy Father is:
Tuesday, September 20
10.30: Taking off from the heliport of Vatican11.05: Landing on the sports field "Migaghelli" at Santa Maria degli Angeli
The Holy Father will be greeted by:
- S.E. Msgr. Domenico Sorrentino, Archbishop-Bishop of Assisi - Nocera Umbra - Gualdo Tadino
- Hon. Catiuscia Marini, President of the Umbria Region
- Dott. Raffaele Cannizzaro, Prefect of Perugia
- Dr. Stefania Proietti, Mayor of Assisi 11.30: Arrival at the Sacred Convent of Assisi
The Holy Father will be greeted by:
- Father Mauro Gambetti, O.F.M.Conv., Guardian of the Sacred Convent
- His Holiness Bartholomew I, Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople
- A representative of the Muslim Communty
- His Grace Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury
- His Holiness Efrem II, Patriarch of Antioch Syrian Orthodox
- A Representative of the Jewish Community
- Supreme Head of the Tendai (Japanese) Community. All will go to the Cloister of Sixtus IV, where the representatives of other Churches and World Religions and the Bishops of Umbria will be waiting 12.00: Pope will greet the Representatives 13:00: Lunch in the Refectory of the Sacred Convent with some of the war victims participating
Dr. Marco Impagliazzo, President of the Community of Sant'Egidio will recall the twenty-fifth anniversary of His Holiness Bartholomew I, Patriarch 15:15: Pope will meet individually with:
- His Holiness Bartholomew I
- The  Muslim Representative
- His Grace the Archbishop Justin Welby
- His Holiness Patriarch Ephrem II
- A Representative of the Jewish Community
